ABOUT THE LABORATORY

A woodworking lab is a dedicated space for individuals or groups to practice and improve their woodworking skills. These labs typically have various tools and equipment, such as saws, drills, lathes, and sanders, that allow users to create a variety of wooden objects and furniture pieces.

Equipment Usability

  • Scroll sawA scroll saw is a machine that cuts with a narrow blade that goes back and forth vertically to cut curved or patterned lines
  • Wood table sawA table saw is a machine used for cutting across the wood using a circular saw. Table saws can also be used for angled cuts and height adjustments in wood
  • BandsawA band saw is a machine that has a sharp blade consisting of toothed metal that moves to cut materials such as wood. Band saws can also be used for metalworking and woodworking, but can also cut a wide variety of materials.
  • Sanding machineA sanding machine is a machine used to make the surface of material smoother using moving sandpaper. This machine is usually used in both the wood and automotive industries.
