Congratulations to the Faculty Members of STEM Prasmul on having their work featured as the cover image of the Journal of Applied Polymer Science and another one by Tobias Haposan (Prasmulyan 2019 and NUS Class of 2025) featured as the cover image of the Physica Status Solidi RRL!

The cover image is based on the article Recent Advances in Antimicrobial Food Packaging From Bio-Based Polymers: A Comprehensive Review by Purba Purnama et al., https://doi.org/10.1002/app.57275

In article number 2400298, Lina Jaya Diguna, Muhammad Danang Birowosuto, and co-workers introduce CsCu2I3 scintillators synthesized using nanocrystals embedded in a polydimethylsiloxane matrix. These scintillators demonstrate exceptional performance, including a fast decay time of 3.55 ns, an energy resolution of 13%, and a light yield of 2 ph keV–1. This fabrication method enables the production of bulk-volume scintillators, making them ideal for X-ray and γ-ray photon-counting imaging applications. Furthermore, their scintillation properties are comparable to those of BZA2PbBr4, which achieves photon-counting computed tomography with a rate of about 20 mega counts per second per pixel.
