Profile

Lina Jaya Diguna, Ph.D. is a Faculty Member at School of Applied STEM, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Bandung Institute of Technology in 2003. She joined Japanese Universities Studies in Science and Technology (JUSST) Program in 2001-2002 as an exchange student and then pursued her Master of Engineering degree in 2006 and Doctor of Philosophy degree in 2009 at The University of Electro-Communications, Japan. In graduate studies, she has developed a new type of photoelectrochemical-based solar cells using inverse opal structured electrode with the sensitization of semiconductor quantum dots. In addition to its optical absorption and incident photon-to-current conversion efficiency, she also characterized the ultrafast carrier dynamics using a femtosecond laser and investigated the importance role of the interfaces between quantum dots in the carrier relaxation. By proposing an appropriate surface modification, she could successfully improve the photovoltaic characteristics including energy conversion efficiency.This project was funded by Marubun Research Promotion Foundation grants. After the graduation, she joined Hitachi, Ltd. at Yokohama Research Laboratory as a researcher. In this capacity, she has conducted research in electronic assembly technology with low manufacturing cost, high performance and high reliability by developing different joint materials, device structure and assembly processes. She has published international journals with total citations more than 1000 according to Scopus and international patents.
